CATALOGUE OF PERFORMANCES AND MOVIES BY ANSIS RŪTENTĀLS “ANSIS RŪTENTĀLS. SOUND. COLOUR. MOVEMENT”

The catalogue sums up the information about plays, performances and movies created by Ansis Rūtentāls.

The title of the catalogue consists of the three main principles of the Movement Theatre set by Ansis Rūtentāls – COLOUR. SOUND. MOVEMENT. The visual designers of the catalogue Rūta Bīriņa and Artis Briedis were inspired by the sign of the Movement Theatre “the circle of hands”, which ends each performance. The fan-like layout transforms the catalogue to a plastic informative material in the hands of the reader. The design emphasizes the special attitude towards black, that Ansis Rūtentāls had and the visual resemblance to a tape-recorder, which allows the reader to grasp the atmosphere of 70ies and the 80ies of the 20th Century, when the theatre was formed and the tape was the only mean of rendering music.
