4th Internation contemporary music festival "Zhytomyr Musical Spring" named after A.Stetsjuk will take place in Zhytomyr, Ukraine on April 23-28.
Latvian and Ukranian artists' concerts and workshops will take place during the festival.
The contemporary classical music composer Gundega Šmite will introduce the audience to Latvian contemporary music during her workshop. Santa Grīnfelde, the Ansis Rūtentāls Movement Theatre choreographer, will conduct a class in contemporary dance.
On the 27th of April at 6.30 pm the concert "Tandem" will take place in Zhytomir (Ukraine). A special choreography was made for the Ukranian composer Alexander Stetsjuk's composition by Ansis Rūtentāls Movement Theatre (choreographer - Santa Grīnfelde). The participants - Alise Berga and Austra Ziļicka. The music will be performed by Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music student Maija Kļaviņa - flute and concert master Evija Belicka - piano.
Latvian composer Jēkabs Nīmanis will participate in the concert. Audio-visual artist Katrīna Sauškina's video installation will be presented during the concert.
The project is carried out by "United Arts Association" (Zhytomir, Ukraine) and "Totaldobže" art centre.
